About Us

A maze of “Exotic Cultures and Hidden Curiosities,” that is how Earl's Court was once described and that is how we at the Festival office see it. Round every corner lies a nestled gem.

This year the Festival wants you to go on an adventure with us as we open doors and gateways and listen to the myriad voices of this international village.

By working in partnership with and promoting local business we keep ourselves at the heart of the community.

From music to literature, comedy to theatre, children's events to events for young adults, from war fiction and exploration, to bubbling burlesque and Mamma Mia! in the beautiful Nevern Square Gardens.

Background

Thirty years ago a group of residents put on a one day Street Fair. Little did they know that not only would that same Street Fair still be happening today, but that it would have exploded into a month-long, jam packed Community Arts Festival.

Our Festival is brought to you by two dedicated core members of staff and an unruly band of eager-eyed, flight-footed volunteers. Supported by local charity, the Earl’s Court Community Trust, the Festival team presents a month of exciting events.

We have the daunting task of creating a community arts festival that will stand out, even in the centre of the busy diverse, capital city that is London. That is why we are dedicated to gathering artists, authors, actors, comedians, dancers and many more creative types besides, of the very highest calibre.

The Festival is all about bringing quality events to “The Community”. This means we open up community spaces, small and large, to unite local people and open their eyes to the ‘hidden treasures’ on their doorsteps. We seek out talent close to home before searching further a field to showcase the best in local music, art, design and theatrical talent throughout the Festival month.

And while the quality of our events is exceptionally high, their cost remains reassuringly low, allowing us to bring art and entertainment to the whole of our community.
